Engenda Supports Runcorn Foodbank with Summer Donation Drive

Share

Over the summer, the Engenda team came together to collect and donate essential food supplies for the Runcorn Foodbank, helping to support individuals and families in one of our local communities during a time of growing need. Every item donated helps make a tangible difference to those who rely on foodbank support.

We received a message of thanks from Eddie Thompson MBE, Manager of Runcorn Foodbank, who shared:

“We could not operate without food donations such as yours.”

In challenging economic times, the demand for foodbanks continues to rise. In the year to March 2025, the Trussell Trust distributed 2.9 million emergency food parcels; the equivalent of one parcel every 11 seconds and a 50% increase on the previous year. These figures highlight just how vital community support has become. Our donation helps ensure that people in and around Runcorn can access the food and essential items they need, when they need them most.

Foodbanks are typically run by local or national charities and rely heavily on donations and volunteers to continue their work. Every contribution, whether food, financial support, or time plays an important role in helping communities thrive.
