Engenda Group (initially through the acquired business of Lectec Services) have been an influential force in this field since 1977.

Engenda Group provides comprehensive capability combining both electrical and instrumentation work packages. Covering site pre-calibration of instrumentation, erection of electrical/ instrumentation equipment and components, erection of cable support systems, installation of site cabling, glanding and terminating, installation of instrumentation pipework, hook ups, earthing and lightning protection, inspection, loop checking and final commissioning. Engenda Group have considerable experience in the field of process control systems both pneumatic and electronic and in application and deployment of a wide range of PLC based automation systems.

Electrical Installation and Containment

Offering a full suite of electrical installation, testing and inspection services, including HV, MV, LV distribution systems, lighting, small power, gas detection CCTV and access control systems.

Inspection and Testing

Full inspection and testing service; delivering the optimal solution to clients’ inspection and testing requirements. Electricity at Work Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers and employees, as duty holders, to ensure that electrical systems used at work and under their control are safe. All testing is carried out in accordance with the 18th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671:2008. Tests are conducted on a standard periodic inspection using the latest software and technology

Our team consists of qualified engineers, project managers and superintendents with a wealth of electrical experience.

Highly skilled engineers with a vast knowledge and expertise ensure the safety of personnel and assets, drawing on experience of major hazard COMAH installations both in the UK and overseas.

Conducting assignments on behalf of Principal Contractors or direct site liason, Engenda Group resource consists of; Site Supervisors, Electrical Engineers, Designers, Planners, Inspectors, Technicians, Draughtsmen, Approved Electricians, Labourers and Safety professionals.

Process Control and Instrumentation

Having expanded our areas of expertise to meet the growing needs of our customers, our areas of competence include process control and instrumentation systems - design, installation, testing and commissioning of batch or continuous control systems, with in-house capability for software engineering and associated control panel manufacture. The ability to understand process systems enables Engenda Group to be a valued team member in project delivery. Bringing the mechanical insight to electronic instrumentation and controls, our experience in start up of process systems eliminates delays in realising the productive capability of these facilities.

Commissioning and Technical Service

With vast electrical commissioning experience, Engenda Group are key participants in integrated commissioning start-up programmes with special emphasis on Power and Electrical Control and Management System (ECMS), in a broad range of working environments.

Consulting with the commissioning lead, seeking guidance based on the client requirement, Engenda Group ensures the safe execution of electrical systems completion and commissioning.

Working in partnership with organisations to provide the testing and commissioning of high voltage electrical equipment.

Hazardous Area Testing

Engenda Group have over 40 years’ experience of inspecting and testing electrical installations in potentially explosive atmospheres. With the knowledge and expertise to assist our clients in asset management and maintaining confidence in the integrity of their Ex equipment and systems, Engenda Group can provide the assurance that clients are complying with all the very latest international standards, codes and practices and meeting their legal obligations. Providing a cost effective solution to Ex inspections with the maximum level of technical support and the minimum level of interruption to process and plant.

Engenda Group is a member of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), the authoritative body representing the Electrical and Instrumentation Contracting Industry within the private sector. Accreditations include EN ISO 9001: 2019 and ISO 14001: 2019. Engenda Group are also members of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC).

As signatories to the Joint Industry Board (JIB), Engenda Group partner at a national level with the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) and Unite the Union. In addition Engenda Group are members of the ECIA and able to work in conformance with the NAECI Agreement.
