Engenda was appointed as Principal Contractor, providing all levels of construction management, planning and co-ordination for this construction project.
The Engenda remit was to construct the full above ground facility, as principal contractor, and manage various sub-contractors, including scaffold, insulation and painting contractors. This included constructability reviews including, lifting studies and requirements, preparation and approval of RAMS, issue of work permits etc. Built on programme and to budget.
Scope
Installation of 4 x 300m3, horizontal HCL storage tanks, c/w associated pumps, pipework, scrubbing systems, tanker loading facilities, access platforms etc. Work included tanks install, piping fabrication and installation, structural fabrication and installation, electrical and instrumentation installation including new switchroom and power supply. Piling and civil works were carried out and co-ordinated by others in advance of Engenda start.
The project was designed by Engenda EPC, under separate NEC 4 contracts.
